Rhinoplasty
The nose is probably the most defining characteristic of one’s face. A slight alteration to the nose can greatly transform a person's overall facial appearance. At the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of Delaware in PA, we perform rhinoplasty to correct large, crooked, or otherwise disproportionate noses. Our board certified plastic surgeons - Dr. Lonergan and Dr. deLeeuw apply a unique combination of superb surgical skills and the latest proven techniques to provide patients with outstanding aesthetic results. As individual facial structures and aesthetic perceptions are different, each nose reshaping surgery is customized to complement your features.
Please contact Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of Delaware in Wilmington at 302.656.0214, to schedule your consultation. At that time, our plastic surgeons will discuss your expectations and, using digital photography, will be able to create a computer simulation of your "new" nose. Each person's nose is sculpted to individual specifications and balanced to their facial proportions, so the end result is very unique and natural.
What Rhinoplasty Surgery Involves
Rhinoplasty surgery is performed at our Delaware plastic surgery center to enhance the size and shape of your nose in a way that complements your facial features.
- The nose is carefully sculpted to achieve the perfect shape.
- Incisions are generally made inside the nose, but in some cases may be made under the nasal septum.
- The nose is taped with steristrips (slightly stretchy paper tapes) and covered with a molded plastic splint at the end.
Safe, Effective Nasal Refinement Tailored to Your Needs
Nose surgery is performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation in our outpatient surgery center. Patients typically do not experience much discomfort with this procedure. It is normal to have some bruising and swelling, which resolves in 1-2 weeks.
